Biography

Father of three and grandfather. Terry Bartelme was born and raised as a native of Tacoma, Washington. Elvis Presley's influence greatly contributed to shaping Terry's musical interests and abilities throughout his life. Terry began singing Elvis Presley songs, to his own teddy bear, as early as three years old. He performed in multiple rock bands beginning in high school and made special appearances with country music artists. Terry is an experienced lead in musical plays and has performed many times over the years as a soloist singing Christian contemporary and gospel music. Terry uses the rich tones and three octave range of his voice to mesmerize listeners and take them back to simpler times when music memories from the fifties, sixties and seventies were at the top of the charts.

Light at the End of the Tunnel!

It is time for an update as I have made several changes including the name of my business. The new name is Music Memories or Music Memories with Terry Bartelme. I will keep the old web address for now, but I have added a second web address that reflects the name change. For now you can get to this Website either way. The new address is www.musicmemories-terrybartelme.com.

The best news is that we are finally beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel leading to the reopening of music venues. With the likelihood that Covid-19 vaccines will begin being distributed in December we take a step closer to having live music once again! I know that many of you are starving for live music and I can't express how much that I have missed it myself. It will take a little time before we can safely attend live music venues again, but this is a good time to start planning and booking performances for 2021.

I used the down time this year to develop two new shows with a third on the horizon for Spring. Along with "An Evening of Elvis" performances I can now offer shows that feature hits of the fifties and sixties from artists such as Frankie Avalon to Frankie Valli. Later in 2021 I will have an all gospel offering as my fourth show. I added some new pages to this Website with song lists for the “Fifties Rock N Doo Wop” and Sixties Rock N Doo Wop” shows and I am working on some new recordings to update the sample music tracts available on the “Press Kit” page.

See you soon,

Terry

Heading into 2022

Business in 2021 has been building steadily since May averaging more than twenty bookings each month for the last three months. Things are good and with 2022 comes the launching of my new “Neil Diamond Nights” tribute show in February. Acquiring more accounts that book a show every month throughout the entire year has freed me from spending as much time perusing gigs.

I am beginning to receive interest from larger and more varied types of venues. Possibilities are there for some outdoor summer concerts series and even some county fairs when they begin booking their summer events. I am excited to see what new contacts and opportunities 2022 will bring.

Been planning for investing more resources back into the business for things like a quality wireless microphone system, joining another website as a source of bookings and updating my press kit package. The press kit package could use a new video or two, more pictures and some audio recorded in a sound proof studio with good acoustics. I hope to find some experienced help with all of that.

With the Omicron variant spreading rapidly most of my events will not be open to the general public for a while yet. However, the evidence points to Omicron being much milder than previous variants so there is hope that more venues will be available to the general public in the near future.

Best wishes to all for 2022!

New Website, Show and Blog!

Just getting started here. Thank you so much for visiting my new Website for "An Evening of Elvis" and "Rock N Doo Wop" shows! That's right, I now have a second show to go along with "An Evening of Elvis" performances.

I want to give a huge "shout out" and thanks to all of those venues that asked me to put together a second show. They encouraged me by saying that they would book me for their venues every month if I could rotate in a second show.

I decided to use the down time forced upon all of us by the Covid-19 virus for something positive and productive thus the "Rock N Doo Wop" show and new Website have come to fruition!

The "Rock N Doo Wop" show has some of the greatest hits from various artists in the time period between 1951 and 1966. I will be posting song lists for both shows here on this Website very soon.
